Welcome to the American Humanist Association’s Strategic Planning Process!
We are working to create a vision that will lead the AHA into the next decade – and we need your input by July 20 at midnight Eastern time.
Humanism is: progressive, nontheistic, consequentialist (about what you do, not just what you say). It is focused on reason and compassion as tools for understanding our obligations and guiding the way towards good solutions. We want this Strategic Plan to bring those ideas to the largest possible audience.
Our goal, with your help, is to create a Strategic Plan that provides an active vision for the AHA’s future. Not a document that sits on a shelf, but one that is:
○ a tool to communicate our priorities and strategy to members, donors, and partners
○ flexible enough to allow us to be responsive to opportunities and changing national headwinds
○ usable for leadership and staff when creating new programs, prioritizing initiatives, and making tradeoffs.
We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in the past year and we want to keep building on our success. (You can read more about that here.)
Because the input of our members and supporters is crucial to this process, we hope you will fill out our survey so we can gather your thoughts and insights.
SURVEY DEADLINE: July 20th (midnight Eastern)
The survey should take no more than 20 minutes, but that can vary, depending on how many questions you decide to answer (none of them are required) and how much time you decide to devote to each question.
Your responses can be completely anonymous if you wish – just don’t fill in your name at the end. But, if you would like to participate further in the process, provide your name and contact information where asked. We might contact you to take part in an interview or focus group as the process progresses.
Thank you for your willingness to participate in crafting the Strategic Plan that plots the AHA’s path into the future!
