We fought discrimination against humanist inmates in North Carolina’s prison system, resulting in the U.S. District Court recognizing humanism as a faith group and giving humanists the same rights as inmates of other faiths.

[Department of Public Safety]’s arbitrary decision to recognize some faith groups, and not Humanism, fostered an excessive government entanglement with religion.
