Find Your Local Group

Every group in our network looks and operates differently, but all share our vision for building a more compassionate world. Humanist organizers have made remarkable differences in their communities – and you can too.

What are
Humanist Groups?

Our network of chapters and affiliates bring Humanists together across the country for community, collective care and acts of service. Chapters are deeply integrated with the American Humanist Association and receive ongoing support and development opportunities. While our partnered affiliates may organize around other causes, their work and community is still deeply Humanist.

Chapter: A Humanist community where Humanists go to belong, learn and grow together
Emerging Chapter: A Humanist community in formation
Affiliate: A non-AHA Humanist community group

What to Expect

We pride ourselves on building communities that actually show up. Local chapters connect you with curious, values-driven people who meet regularly – online, in-person or both – to champion Humanist cause, trade big ideas, influence local decision-making and volunteer together.
