The Clergy Project Announces Collaboration with the Humanist Society

The following Clergy Project press release can be found online here.

November 02, 2012

The Board of Directors of the Clergy Project would like to announce our recent collaboration with the Humanist Society, an adjunct of the American Humanist Association. Working together, our organizations will support Clergy Project members who are interested in becoming Humanist Celebrants.

Humanist Celebrants offer ways to observe meaningful life events in a secular, non-theistic manner in keeping with the tenets and philosophies of Humanism.

We recognize that this new collaboration may open up opportunities for our members who are excited about the concept of transferring their skills in ministry to the positive, progressive philosophy of Humanism with a focus on reason, ethics and justice.
