What’s our stance?
Humanists don’t have a single perspective on the ethics of AI. However, the American Humanist Association strongly supports individual Humanists in living a principled life, and acting in align with their values. If your interpretation of Humanist principles is incompatible with AI use, we’re here to help.
AHA has signed on to Humanists International’s Luxembourg Declaration on Artificial Intelligence and Human Values, and is in the process of crafting its own board declaration.
