Christian is a microbiologist and cancer researcher at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. His research focuses on studying how a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori causes stomach cancer. He is passionate about making science accessible to diverse audiences, ranging from elementary school students to his academic colleagues. He received his PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Christian previously served as the Vice President of the Secular Society of MIT (SSOMIT), where he promoted secular values at MIT through invited speaker events, increased humanist visibility, and organized community gatherings.
Honorarium Terms
Negotiable compensation. In-person travel requires travel, meals, accommodation, and honorarium. Virtual events only require honorarium.
