Justin Dean Vollmar was an ordained Baptist pastor for eleven years and a well-known vlogger in the Deaf community. He produces a weekly video signed in the American Sign Language that average 5,000 views per a video. His YouTube screen name is Virtual Deaf Church. He came out of the closet as an Atheist in 2014 as a graduate of The Clergy Project. He got published in the CNN’s beliefs blog. He then became affiliated with the American Humanist Association in 2014. Ironically, he graduated with a Masters degree in Theology from the Liberty University in 2013. He aspires to receive a PhD in Theology one day as an ‘Atheist Theologian.’ He has continued making vlogs about the Bible, theology, and Christianity, only this time from a non-believer viewpoint. He is also a community leader in the Deaf community. He is serving as a chair of the Wisconsin Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and is the president of his children’s school Parent & Staff Association.
