Joaquin Cabrejas
Joaquin first joined the American Humanist Association as an intern and became a staff member in 2006. He is a lifelong DC-area resident. A proud Montgomery College alumnus, he earned an Associate’s there before moving on to earn a Bachelor’s at the University of Maryland. He has found that accounting is an excellent and highly underrated way to make a living.
Outside of work, he has tried many wonderful things like pupusas, hiking, and volunteering for immigrants rights groups and local mutual aid organizations.
He tries hard to live his Humanist values through his ongoing work with a South Sudanese LGBTQIA+, Atheist, and Humanist refugee organization and being a platelet donor since his teens. He believes you can build a more Humanist world one day at a time.
