Help Keep Florida’s Public Schools Secular
Dear Friend,
A bill is moving through the state legislature that could seriously jeopardize the separation of church and state in Florida. HB 839 would require all public schools to display “In God We Trust” in a public area, and would signify to students that belief in a deity is part of official school policy.
Public schools should focus on educating our kids, not preaching to them. Take a moment right now to contact your state Representative and ask them to oppose this bad bill.
If humanists don’t speak up, this bill could very well become law. Tell your state Representative to keep church and state separate by opposing this bill.
Thank you for standing up for secular public education.
Sincerely,
Roy Speckhardt
