November 29, 2012 – The AHA’s Appignani Humanist Legal Center has sent a letter to the Little Rock School District in Arkansas objecting to a plan by one of its elementary schools to take students on a field trip to local evangelical Christian church to see a sectarian Christmas play.

The play is an adaptation of “Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown.”  The message of the play is that the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of the Christian savior, Jesus Christ.
