On August 8, 2012, the American Humanist Association for the second time met with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of International Religious Freedom (IRF) in Washington DC, joined by colleagues at the Center for Inquiry, International Humanist and Ethical Union, Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, and the Secular Coalition for America. In attendance were Ambassador-at-Large Suzan Johnson Cook and several team leaders from the IRF office. Our organizations presented a report on atheist discrimination abroad, and asked that these cases be highlighted in the IRF’s Annual Report next year. To read the report, click here.
