On Thursday the Senate tabled the Blunt Amendment, which would have allowed employers to decline to cover certain health benefits that conflict with their religious beliefs. Thankfully, 51 senators voted against the “Respect for Rights of Conscience Act,” with 48 senators voting in favor of its passage.
