In Philadelphia, Catholic Social Service, a government contractor, refused to certify adoptions for LGBTQ+ couples. We urged the Supreme Court to rule against allowing religious organizations contracting with the government to circumvent neutral laws on the basis of religious belief.
[Catholic Social Service]’s expectation of receiving taxpayer dollars to use religion as a weapon against loving families and children is abhorrent.
