Dear Friend,
Recently, a law went into effect in Florida requiring public schools to display “In God We Trust” in prominent locations. Obviously, this is a violation of the separation between church and state, and a policy which will alienate countless nontheistic students all across Florida.
Florida’s legislators must fix this mistake by repealing this legal requirement and ensuring that our public schools are secular institutions of learning. Can you take a moment right now to contact your state Representative and Senator and ask them to repeal this bad law?
Our public schools should be places where children learn about math, science, literature, and history, not about belief in a deity. Tell your state Representative and Senator that you want this bad law repealed.
Thank you for standing up for the separation of church and state.
Sincerely,
Roy Speckhardt
Executive Director
