Arizona Humanists: Support the Darwin Day Resolution!

February 18, 2016 Action Alerts

Dear Friend,

This year’s Darwin Day celebration was bigger and better than ever. Darwin Day resolutions were introduced in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate, and local groups across the country held fun and educational events to help celebrate the legacy of Darwin’s work.

Thanks to Arizona State Senator Andrew Sherwood, the celebration isn’t over yet, as a Darwin Day resolution introduced by Senator Sherwood is making its way through the State Senate. The resolution, which promotes Darwin’s theory of natural selection and the positive impact of the scientific research industry on the state’s economy, recently passed an important committee and now awaits a vote by the Health and Human Services Committee.

Can you take a moment right now to tell your State Senator to support this bill and urge its passage through the State Senate?

Please join us in honoring Charles Darwin and the work of modern scientists by advocating for this pro-science resolution. Click here to use our simple action alert system and send a message to your State Senator in support of the Darwin Day resolution.

Thank you for supporting science and Darwin Day!

Sincerely,
