Lawsuit
Rojas
v.
City of Ocala, Florida
We challenged the constitutionality of a Christian prayer vigil organized by the City of Ocala and its police department, with the Court ruling in favor of AHA and its clients. On May 20, 2025, the City settled its claim against the ruling, cementing the important judgment.
In sum, under the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, the government cannot initiate, organize, sponsor, or conduct a community prayer vigil…That is what happened here.
