Lyle Simpson is an attorney at Simpson, Jensen, Abels, Fischer and Bouslog, PC. He describes his law practice as humanistic in that he works only on the win/win side of helping clients have the most successful life that they can achieve. He takes people from the point of an idea to their business success, the transition to maximize the value that they have created in life, and their estate planning to make the greatest statement that they can make of their life for future generations, with the least amount of government interference and taxation.
Simpson is active in the humanist community. He received the Humanist Pioneer Award from the American Humanist Association in 1985; the Humanist Foundation 20 Year Leadership Award in 2002; and the Humanist Heritage Award in 2013 for being a transitional leader in assuring the perpetuation of the AHA for future generations. He has served on the boards of the First Unitarian Church & American Humanist Association, and is the current Chairman of the Humanist Foundation.
Simpson is the author of Why Was I Born? and Fully Human / Fully Alive. Additionally he has served as a lecturer on the philosophy of humanism and the psychology of Dr. Abraham Maslow at Drake University, Senior College of Greater Des Moines, and the University of Iowa.
