With AHA Executive Director Fish Stark
Now more than ever, people need to feel like heroes in the American story. Fish Stark, Executive Director of the American Humanist Association, blends history, humor, and cognitive psychology in a look back at the legacy of American heroes. From John Dewey and Frederick Douglass to Jamie Raskin and Quinta Brunson, these people have changed our country for the better–fairer, more equal, more open, more innovative–not by mere coincidence but because of their humanist beliefs. Fish will offer a framework for helping humanists renew our sense of connection to national identity at a moment where our national leaders embrace anti-humanist principles, and tell the stories that welcome new people into the movement.
