2014 Board of Directors Elections

AHA Announces Slate for 2014 Board of Directors Election

The following is the slate of eight (8) nominees for the American Humanist Association Board of Directors, selected by the Nominations Committee. The candidates are listed in alphabetical order:

Howard Katz
Raul Martinez
Dan Moran
Susan Sackett
Christine Shellska
Roberta Simpson
Jason Torpy

Candidates may pursue their right under the bylaws for inclusion on the ballot by petition, obtaining the signatures of seventy-five (75) AHA members in good standing, who no more than thirty-five (35) of whom can be from any given AHA Chapter or Affiliate. The deadline for submitting petitions and election materials is August 11, 2014. The final slate and election process will be posted online on August 13, 2014.

Ballots will be e-mailed to all AHA members in good standing on August 20, 2014. The deadline for submitting your votes is September 26, 2014. 

The Election Committee and Board Secretary will gather to review and finalize the online results on September 29, and winners will be informed by phone or email. On October 1, the winners of the election will be announced on the AHA's website and in the Winter 2014 issue of Free Mind
