Nikki Stern is a writer and the author of Hope in Small Doses, a new book from Humanist Press (www.hopeinsmalldoses.com) that presents a version of hope that relies not on certainty but on possibility. For her role in co-sponsoring a series of meetings that brought together Muslim and non-Muslim communities, she and FOS11 shared a Common Ground award in 2005 from the global conflict transformation group Search for Common Ground.
